Ryan Watson's connection to the outdoors began with his earliest memories.
Born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, he grew up under the guidance of a father who was both an outdoorsman and a conservationist. Ryan harvested his first deer at age seven, his first turkey at nine and his first duck at twelve. Since then, hunting, conservation and responsible stewardship have remained central to his life.
Ryan graduated from Winthrop University in 2021 and was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army Reserve. He later turned his passion for the outdoors into a career with the Delta Waterfowl Foundation, where he serves as Regional Director for South Texas.
Conservation and stewardship are at the heart of Ryan's approach to hunting and land management. He is especially passionate about mentoring young hunters and creating opportunities for the next generation to experience the outdoors. Whiskey Two began as Ryan's dream, and bringing that vision to life while sharing it with guests is what excites him most.
I recognized early on the unique opportunity before me, to work alongside a great family that wants nothing more than to share its little slice of heaven while ensuring it remains that way. Our goal is to give every client an authentic Texas Hill Country experience while preserving this land and its traditions for generations to come.
Better than twenty years in the woods, and bowhunting is still where his heart is.
Mason has been hunting since he was a kid. Growing up in Texas, the outdoors was never just a hobby to him, it is how he was raised. Bowhunting is where his heart is — there is something about the patience it takes, and being that close to the animal, that you just don't get with a rifle. Waterfowl is a close second, and nothing beats being out in the blind at first light watching the sky fill up.
Some of his favorite hunts aren't even the ones where he pulls the trigger. There is nothing like watching someone else get their first one ever, seeing their face light up, and knowing you helped make that happen. That is a big part of why he wanted to guide.

That is how Mason tries to live, trusting the process even when he can't see where it is headed. He is excited to bring that same mindset to guiding, and to help other people fall in love with the outdoors the way it changed his life.

Chris cut his teeth hunting deer and small game on a west Texas ranch and fishing in the Gulf, but has taken every opportunity to explore new places, from arctic Alaska to the swamps of the Chesapeake. A true generalist, he'll chase doves to moose and everything in between. His favorite, though, is flushing birds with his Springer Spaniel, Governor.
There's something to hunt 11 months out of the year. July is fishing season.
